A complimentary side of fresh greens accompany each meal

A complimentary side of fresh green vegetables accompany each meal.

A still life composition of vegetables, fruit, flowers,.and leafy greens was the first serving to mark the beginning of a nice mid-day meal at a Burmese eatery in Bangkok. Full of families and groups of young working class Burmese a diner could almost feel the vibe of being in a Yangon rice shop as there were no tourists and only Burmese voices filled the air. Dishes were served  traditional style in small tapas-sized plates along with a large plate of fresh vegetables and a trio of spicey fermented bean, shrimp paste, and tomato chilli anchovy dipping sauces. Three main dishes are shown here -- braised butter bean, eggplant curry, fish salad. A delicious mid-day meal. Complimentary hot tea is also served at each table.
